I've always wanted to have a really cool home theatre room to watch movies and tv but you need to have a deep wallet, dedication, and a fanatical passion for something. Here is an example. This is a home theatre room that has been modeled after the bridge on Star Trek. The site has a step-by-step log of how the process was completed with pictures. (Does that make it a Captain's Log?...ugh...groan)
