Wikipedia to seek proof of credentials

Following revelations that a high-ranking member of Wikipedia's bureaucracy used his cloak of anonymity to lie about being a professor of religion, the free Internet encyclopedia plans to ask contributors who claim such credentials to identify themselves.

My opinion: Kind of interesting how trusting people are of what they view on the web. Wikipedia serves as a great resource but the fact that the Wikipedia world is comprised of thousands and thousands of anonymous contributors, can you really trust what you read? Always wise to verify information and credentials from multiple sources.
