It's The Most Wonderful Time of The Year...March Madness!

March has got to be one of my favourite months of the year. The NCAA Tournament fills the month with exciting basketball and couldn't come at a better time during the school year.

This year's tournament should be no exception with many interesting matchups already slated in the first round. The field is strong this year as well with some notable teams being left out of the tournament. There were 104 teams this year in the NCAA with 20 wins or more this season which I think is a new record.

Ohio State, Kansas, North Carolina, and Florida (last year's champions) are the number one seeds this year. I'll admit I was pretty disappointed when my Syracuse Orangemen were left out of the tournament. Although they were not a legitimate contender this year, they certainly were worthy of a place in the tournament. Some other notables left out were Drexel, West Virginia, and Air Force. I'm going to try something new this year and attempt to predict the matchups throughout the tournament on the Bloggopotamus. I watch a lot of college basketball but we'll see how well that translates into tournament prediction.
