Someone asked me the other day, "What happens to the t-shirts, hats, and gear that has been made for the team in Superbowl that loses?"
At the end of the Superbowl or any other major sporting championship, the winning team magically adorns shirts and caps proclaiming themselves as champs almost instantaneously upon conclusion of the game.
Well...if this apparel is ready to go at the end of the game...then the same types of apparel must be ready for the losers as well declaring them as champs. Where does this stuff go? Who wears it? Can you buy it? Do they burn it? Where does it go?
Well, I came across this article that outlines where the goods go. First they are locked up after the game and eventually become the property of World Vision or another charity group providing aid to regions in Africa. So I guess some people will be wearing New Orleans Saints 2007 Superbowl champs shirts since those have already been made too. The big question is..whose shirts will end up in the hands of World Vision after tomorrow night?....Da Bears or The Colts? Click on the title of this post or here to link to this story.
