This handy little page from degreetutor.com highlights areas of web design and programming such as xhtml, css, and php. It also gives some overviews of html editors, video and graphics programs and many other links to tutorials and pages of useful info for those nerds who are so inclined.
I have become accepting of some of my nerdish tendencies and now embrace it. You can do the same. Find things that you're good at and excel at them. I just happen to be good at everything...so I guess that just makes me "excellent".
