Softwood Lumber Deal Political Cartoon

Steve Nease, Oakville Ontario, Steve is the daily cartoonist for the Oakville Beaver - This cartoon was published on Aug 23/2006 and can be found also on the web at Canadian Cartoon Tour! This site is always great for recent political cartoons from across Canada. I've found this to be an excellent way to get students interested in and appreciating the current events occurring in Canada and abroad with a little dose of humour.

the trojan horse story is that it was used as a disguise to get soldiers/fighters inside the walls of a city hidden inside the horse.

When the softwood lumber deals were struck allowing certain conditions or lack thereof on trade...it is kind of like a trojan horse perhaps in that we don't know what the consequences might be of what's inside the deal
